If you are a citizen of China
If you live in Hong Kong SAR
You should apply in person at the Certificate of No Criminal Conviction Office (see Special notes and considerations for complete address).
If you live outside of Hong Kong SAR
You should apply in writing to The Commissioner of Police at the Certificate of No Criminal Conviction Office (see Special notes and considerations for complete address). You must provide everything listed in information and documents you need and your fingerprints taken and certified by a recognized police or law enforcement agency where you live.
If you’re not a citizen of China
If you live in Hong Kong SAR
You should apply in person at the Certificate of No Criminal Conviction Office (see Special notes and considerations for complete address).
If you live outside of Hong Kong SAR

Information and documents you need
- Completed application form
- Your Hong Kong identity card or valid travel document
- The original letter from the Canadian Consulate General requesting a police certificate
- The original and a photocopy of the documents proving your relationship with the Principal Applicant for the visa application if the letter from the Canadian Consulate General does not contain your name (for dependents of the Principal Applicant only)
- Fingerprints will be taken at the time of application
- Applicable fees
